Bags full of fun at Willows Farm Village Potato Shindig

We had a great day out in the summer hols to Willows Farm in Hertfordshire, it’s such a fun place to visit, we love it there…. I have written a review which will follow shortly.

But in the interim, just because the summer will soon be a distant but wonderful memory to send us into the colder months, it doesn’t mean the fun has stopped, read on and see what they’ve got going on for the month of September…

The Willows Farm Village Potato Shindig will offer bags of educational family fun – quite literally – the weekends of the 7th & 8th, 14th & 15th, 21st & 22nd and 28th & 29th September 2013.

A farming-linked attraction, Potato Shindig will see children getting the chance to harvest some tasty-tatties for their tea, enjoy the great outdoors, and make that all important link between field and fork.

Willows Farm

Over an acre of Picasso potatoes were planted at the Willows Potato Patch in May and visitors will no doubt really ‘dig’ being able to harvest their own bag of super fresh spuds (one bag per child admission)!

Once the hard work is done in the Potato Patch, why not visit Toddler Town and The Farmyard – both new under cover attractions for 2013 and enjoy some Farm Village fun?  And if the weather turns chilly, there’s also acres of even more indoor adventure play courtesy of Woolly Jumpers and Captain Chicken’s Egg Dodge.

Willows Farm is set in stunning countryside which is beautiful this time of year as we head into Autumn.
