Shepherds Delight at Willows Farm

Willows always has some great new activities to enjoy when the school holidays come around, and this May half term is no exception.

Resident Shepherd, Tuck, will be on hand every day to show children how he removes the fleeces from his flock by giving them sheep shearing demonstrations! We were lucky enough to be invited along this week to take a look…..

Tuck the Shpeherd informed the children that as the weather warms up, The Willows sheep need their coats removed to stay cool, and that this is where our woolly jumpers come from!

The sheep take centre stage throughout the the Willows Activity Farm ‘Spring Special’ programme because they also take part in the ‘Sheepstake’ sheep races! Families are able to place bets on which sheep will ‘bleat’ the others to the finish line and win a prize if they pick the fastest racer!

Another exclusive attraction this May half term is Jema and her troupe of dancing horses who can trot in unison and love showing off for the appreciative crowd!

As well as the sheep and horses, Willows still has everything else on offer that we love. There’s the agility play trail, funfair rides, Tristan the tractor, digging for gold, bouncy castles, Toddler Town, the huge indoor play area and of course, not forgetting, the Farmyard where you can feed and hold the animals!

Spring Special will be at Willows Farm between 23-31 May.

Please leave a comment... I try to reply to each and every one :)
