Project 365 and Diary Update 2014 – Week 7

Gosh, are we really into week 7 already? Yikes!

And we still haven’t had any snow here this Winter, which is rather worrying because just as we think the weather will be improving and Spring should be on it’s way, we’re bound to get a dollop! Hmm, maybe I’m tempting fate saying that…. sorry!

Anyway, this week started on a low. I didn’t feel well at all on Monday and spent pretty much the whole day in bed which is so unlike me. I just felt completely whacked out, totally exhausted. No other symptoms apart from not being able to lift up my head….. not good.

It has also been an emotional week. My daughters’ very best friend who she’s known since they met at nursery and have been inseperable ever since, left school this week. Her parents have, after much soul searching, decided that they would send her to private school which, even though we will miss her terribly, I think they have made the right decision. They had wanted to move her for some time but she wouldn’t leave my girl, so they have come up with an agreement to see each other every single week and have more play dates and sleepovers than they currently do (if that’s possible) so they don’t miss each other too much.

I’m very good friends with her mummy so we will ensure our daughters’ very special friendship won’t suffer. And it is very special, we’ve even had teachers comment on how they’ve never seen a friendship so strong and close, bless our little girls, they are definitely more like sisters. So it will be a huge change for my Girl when she goes back to school after the half term not having her best friend there by her side. It’s the start of a new chapter in her little life.

The second part of the week was very busy. We had a visit to a farm, I attended a London Britmums meetup at the Royal Academy of Art on Thursday, I had an uneventful valentines day (lol), a fab Saturday with a fellow blogger at a brand new concept in family friendly restaurants, and brilliant karaoke night with friends (my Silent Sunday picture in the previous post) which was an absolute a hoot!!

Oh and I got a job! Completely out of the blue offer but two days a week, school hours, which is perfect for me! (more on that soon!)

So lets get down to the photos.

rain wellies puddles

Well – days 40 and 41 were spent in a rain fuelled, ill blur. Nothing much exciting happening here then. Although you can see raindrops on the camera lens as I looked up into the tree, and my gorg pink wellies were on my feet most days this week

Day 42 – Check out that snazzy tea towel!! It was there for the sole purpose of covering a cushion because I had the bright idea of letting everyone eat their dinner on their laps watching the tele! It was spaghetti bolognese! Don’t say anything… I know. H had more on his hands and face than in his tummy!!

Day 43 - Now, as a rule, I don't take my kids to the shop after school for sweets but I do occasionally treat them. This day my Girl had complained that she was 'starving' and couldn't possibly last the short journey home without having something... so, we headed to the shop. She chose these. They are disgusting, hard, sour little sweets. I'm sure they filled her up :-/

lambs

Day 44 – We were invited to a special Lambing event at Willows Farm. These lambs were twins and the farmers said they would name them after my twins! How cool is that? They were so cute!

Britmums meetup

Day 45 – Enjoying the Royal Academy of Art where the Britmums February meetup was held.

This was taken at the fabulous Nancy's Pantry - a family friendly restaurant we were invited to as bloggers to try out. The two teddies are staying with us for the half term. They belong to my twins reception class. We have to see how many adventures we can have with them then fill out their scrapbook with pictures of their time with us so the other children can read all about it! Hope we don't lose them... this is a possibility knowing me!

Day 46 – This was taken at the fabulous Nancy’s Pantry – a brand new family friendly restaurant over in East London, which we were invited to as bloggers to try out (review next week). The two teddies in the pic are visitors to our home for the half term. They belong to my twins reception class. We have to see how many adventures we can have with them, then fill out their scrapbook with pictures of their time with us so the other children can read all about it! That was my week. Hope you’ve had a great week :)
