The Inner Me Diaries – Week 1

I’m very excited to be taking part in this brand new project here on the blog, it’s something completely different to anything I’ve done before.

In fact, when I was first contacted to ask if I’d like to take part, I was a little dubious. But once I’d done my research and thoroughly looked into it, I was happy to take on the challenge, and actually felt privileged to be only one of ten bloggers chosen.

So what’s it all about?

Well, it’s a health and vitality challenge whereby I have been given SIX WEEKS supplies of multi vitamins and minerals by Inner Me to take every day over that period, then when I’ve finished, I will report back and let you all know if they have made a difference to how I feel!

I have to say that Inner Me is an established brand, I’m not acting as some kind of guinea pig here, just in case you’re worried!! They have some fantastic products that simply enhance our wellbeing by providing essential nutrients that we might miss out either by not eating the right foods, or even eating foods that aren’t as rich in these nutrients as we may think.

Inner Me was created in 2012 by founder Nikki Cooper who, in 2009, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and embarked on a quest to find supplements that would optimise her health and wellbeing. Bewildered by choice and not finding anything she could relate to, the idea for Inner Me was born. Following extensive research, Inner Me was launched, changing the days of monotonous and daunting supplement products forever.

As well as Nikki Cooper, the founder and inspiration behind Inner Me, the supplements are also recommended by a team of experts on health, beauty, wellbeing and nutrition:

  • Amanda Hamilton: nutritionist, and respected personal health commentator
  • Abigail James: skincare and wellness industry expert
  • Camille Meskill: top fitness professional
  • Elaine Slater: psychologist and consultant therapist for the Priory Hospital and London Fashion Week

Have a look around the website and I think you’ll agree, the products all sound fantastic and with a hectic lifestyle myself, I’ve often thought about supplements as a way of ensuring I’m receiving all my necessary nutritional requirements. Scepticism and cost has always put me off buying these in the past, so I’m very excited to be given an opportunity to try out a leading brand and see for myself if it can make a difference.

As a busy mum of four I’m, as you can imagine, often run off my feet and have barely any time to myself. I’m regularly exhausted and I know I don’t eat as well as I should.

My Inner Me Products arrived in a gorgeous gift pack which included six weeks supply of supplements, a notepad and pencils to record my journey and a fab little pencil case

The product that we agreed on was the ‘Daily for Me’ range in ‘The Hectic Years 30+’ which has been developed for stressful and hectic lives like mine, like most mums! There are three other solutions in this range for all age groups, and each one is tailored for the three stages of a woman’s life: Teens and Twenties, Thirties and Forties and Fifties and Sixties, providing an advanced, convenient and all-in-one supplement package!

The Inner Me Daily 4 Me range, The Hectic Years 30+

There are four tablets to take each day, providing ‘Intelligent Nutrition for Health, Vitality and Energy Release’. As long as you take them with food or just after, it’s possible to take them at any time during the day. It’s even safe to take them all at once if you prefer, which is great for me as I’m rather forgetful so if I do find I haven’t taken any all day, I know I can just have a little snack and take them all together. Job done.

The Verdict so far….

Well, I only started the challenge on Thursday but already I’m finding it super easy to do and I’m remembering to take them which is good! I’m trying to spread them out over the course of the day, although today I took two in the morning and two later on. The supplements look slightly on the large side and initially I had concerns about taking four in one day, but with each one giving something different, they’re all needed to give the overall balance of nutrients.

The supplements come in handy strips with a day of the week written on the back, so it’s easy to keep tabs on which ones to take.

I’m surprised at how quickly they’ve become part of my routine and I’m actually looking forward to taking them, knowing that I’m putting a little bit of goodness into my system every time I do so.

I’m excited by it and ok, even though I’m hoping for miracles at the end of my challenge….  maybe it’ll knock 10 years off? That’d be nice… or slowing down the ageing process would be good!!! I’m really just simply hoping that I feel more energised and healthy.

Watch this space!

Later on I will be giving my lovely readers an offer of a free months supply of Daily 4 Me when you buy one months supply of the product, so look out for that.
