Dragons by Schleich

schleich dragons

I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m in a toy shop, I’m always drawn to the Schleich display. I just love all their products and could happily stand there examining each wonderful piece for hours! My children do this too, it’s not just me I promise!

Schleich are a toy manufacturing brand and they specialise in making realistic looking figurines. But I think it’s the wildlife collection that really makes these products stand out from the crowd. They have an amazing range of life like animals, they are brilliantly made and the attention to detail is second to none. They’re not what you’d expect of toys either… they not plastic or rubbery, they’re heavy and very robust. These are more like collectors items!

But they are toys. They’re aimed at children over 3 and we have quite a few at home. Apart from the animals, which I think we’re all familiar with, Schleich also make superhero figurines (must look out for these), historical characters… I love these, and also fab playsets for your characters to play in!

The newest range is the Eldrador, which is a Knights and Dragons collection and they’re pretty cool! We were sent two of the Dragons for review. Perfect, one each for my twins!

What I love about these is the whole fictional, back story that has been cleverly created to accompany the figures. If you look at the website, there is a whole section dedicated to the world of Eldrador, which is a legendary place of Knights and Dark Dragons where mysterious magicians and strange beasts fight for the order. Fascinating stuff!

Dragon Hunter

The first one we have is…. he’s called Dragon Hunter and he has super sharp claws and teeth. He can see in the dark, has unbelievable endurance and has a poisonous fang! He’s very dangerous!

The Runner

Next up, we have The Runner. He can fly (obviously), but more than that, he can run at immense speeds and is so lightening fast, he is barely visible. He’s also very vain!

My boys love these. I mean, just look at them, they’re incredibly attractive and so skillfully designed and made. They’re just the right size for small hands to play with too.

These are great toys, timeless and collectable. I think we may just have to look out for the playsets now to go with the dragons, as well as some Knights!

Definitely recommend ūüôā

We were sent the two Schleich Dragons for the purpose of this review. All words and opinions are my own and honest.
